Whether you are using the XAware all-in-one install or an Eclipse install with the XAware plug-in, the XAware add-ons are available to you from our update site (see http://www.xaware.org/xaware-downloads/).
These instructions describe installing XAware add-ons into either installation type.
Use these steps.
- Open Eclipse and select Help|Software Updates|Find and Install.
- The update manager displays.
- The next step depends on whether you have previously installed the XAware plug-in into this version of Eclipse.
- If you previously installed the XAware plug-in, select the Search updates of the currently installed features radio button.
- The Search Results screen displays and you can skip to step 4.
- If you have not previously installed the XAware plug-in, or if you want to update only certain add-ons, select the Search for new features to install radio button and click Next.
- The Update sites to visit screen displays.
- Note: XAware should be listed in the Site to include in Search box, but if not, click the New Remote Site button. Type a name for the product in the Name field (this is generally 'XAware'). Type the appropriate link to the download site (available from the download section of the XAware web site) in the URL field and click OK. The name you typed is added to the list in the Site to include in Search box.
- Select XAware in the Sites to include in Search box and click Finish.
- The Search Results screen displays.
- Select the desired version of XAware and the desired add-ons to install.
- Click Next.
- Accept the license terms and click Finish to complete the installation.
Caution! Currently, the Salesforce add-on requires you to execute a BizDocument in Designer before the JARs are available to update the XAware WAR/EAR files and deploy. This is reported as a defect right now.
A restart is typically necessary for the plug-in install. In addition, after you install the add-on, you will have to update the XAware WAR/EAR files and re-deploy in order for the XAware Engine to recognize the new classes. See the Designer help system for instructions to update the WAR/EAR files.
