XAware Transport for Mule 12 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 6
All,
I have been working for quite a while on integrating XAware and Mule together and I have finally been able to produce a transport project that I hope will be on the Mule Forge very soon; pending approval from the MuleForge.org admin's. Anyway, attached is the current version of the source which you could download and play with yourself if you are interested.

You don't necessarily have to have an xaware transport to call xaware and included is an example called InvokeBizView.java and invokebizview.bat. The other example is to invoke the xaware transport.

SETUP:
Install Mule 2.0.x
Install xaware 5.1.x with the client libs option
Edit c:\mule_install_dir\conf\wrapper.conf to include
wrapper.java.additional.<n>=-Dxaware.home=C:\xaware_install_dir

Of course make the appropriate substitutions and read the directions on how to add additional options inside of wrapper.conf.

Next you will need to copy the jars from xaware_install_dir\client to mule_install_dir\lib\user

Next, copy from the attached zip the two jars included (mule-transport-xaware-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar and mule-examples-xaware-2.0.0.jar) into mule_install_dir\lib\user

Edit xaware_install_dir/conf/batch/LoggingConfig.XML and make sure to set the DEFAULT LogHandler to xa:activated="false" so that your stdout will show up in the window. Otherwise it all is intercepted by this LogHandler and you can't tell what it is doing.

set a system variable of MULE_HOME=mule_install_dir

now go ahead and execute the .bat files contained in the examples directory in the attached zip.

I will be posting a blog entry soon on how the transport works, how you can integrate both XAware and Mule, along with why this is important, but in the mean time I wanted to get this out to the community. Please post if you are having problems as it is possible I have forgotten a step - I hope I haven't but if I did I will be more than happy to help you through the issues.

-Tim
