Default output in JSON 8 Months ago Karma: 0
Is there a way to configure a BizDocument to return its result in JSON by default instead of having to specify _OUTPUT_TYPE=json in the query string?

Currently, the HTTP servlet reads this property from the invocation parameters after the connector properties have been read, so it cannot be set from within the BizDoc. (You might want to log that as a feature request in our SourceForge project.)

FYI - The wiki XAware Connectors contains information about Connectors, including a link to the page Using the HTTP Servlet Connector, which includes a table of some of the "Connector Properties" accessed through SessionVariables. It might make sense to add the OUTPUT_TYPE as a connector property that can be read or set by the BizDoc.

I think it does make sense to add the OUTPUT_TYPE as a connector property that can be read and set by the BizDoc. This way each service could have control of how they must send back their data.

I'll go and add a feature request, thanks for your answer
