There is some very good news today . XAware launched the XAware Ecosystem program for building joint solutions with other open source projects to make application development and deployment easier and faster using combined capabilities. The XAware Ecosystem program provides integrated use cases with tutorials, documentation, bundled downloads, pre-congifured and integrated design environments, and mutual support of forums and communities to make it easier for developers using combinations of open source software to get started and be more productive.

To get started XAware has teamed up with Active Endpoints (open source BPEL orchestration tools) and Appcelerator (open source rich internet application development tools), who join MySQL an existing XAware partnership. Developers from XAware, Active Endpoints, and Appcelerator will be in booth 301 at the MySQL Conference and Expo in Santa Clara, CA this week.

Marten Mickos of MySQL is quoted in the news release :

“It’s encouraging to see innovative organizations working together to expand the open source SOA ecosystem,” said Marten Mickos, senior vice president, Database Group, Sun Microsystems. “Companies such as XAware, Appcelerator and Active Endpoints provide open source solutions that address a range of business issues, and we urge conference attendees to check out their offerings.”
